About the AOC MN Chapter
Minnesota’s AOC chapter serves as a hub for engineers, researchers, practitioners, and students who share a commitment to learning, conversation, and community within the rapidly evolving world of electromagnetic warfare. Members stay connected in many ways—attending events, mentoring, sharing expertise, or simply keeping a pulse on how the field continues to advance. The chapter complements Minnesota’s broader defense ecosystem, which includes a significant aerospace and defense workforce, major defense and space companies such as Lockheed Martin, Honeywell Aerospace, BAE Systems, and General Dynamics, and regional initiatives like the Defense Alliance and the Upper Midwest Defense Industry Roundtable that convenes industry, government, and academia around emerging defense issues. Through technical talks, networking events, and student‑focused programming, the MN AOC chapter helps participants connect real‑world EW challenges to applied systems, engage with professionals across sectors, and explore both the history and future trajectory of the electromagnetic spectrum operations community. We were founded by Gregg Schaeppi in the summer of 2025, and had our chapter kickoff on 7 Oct 2025.
